Wrapbook
Wrapbook
Brief
Wrapbook is a smart production payroll and accounting platform built by industry veterans. I partnered with their Creative Director and Brand Designer to bring their brand refresh to life on the web.
My Roles
Problem
The Wrapbook team created a stellar refreshed brand that needed support in translating and scaling a system for use on the web. Shortly after we launched the new brand, they needed additional support on building out new growth driving sections of wrapbook.com.
Solution
We first collaborated on visual concepts and web design systems as a foundation for their updated site, followed by a full refactor of their 50+ page Webflow project, and finally built a fully automated, CMS driven production incentive portal to align data with customer value.
Brand to web at scale
After first seeing the new brand the team was creating, I was very excited to support translating the fresh aesthetic into a system for their main dot com that would scale and perform with efficiency far into the future. We first jammed on a variety of type systems, key UI elements, and layout compositions until we found alignment across the large number of components and pages they would need to define.
Refresh and refactor
Once we consolidated the early explorations, we refined the web design system and they used it to design all of the different page types for the main dot com. Leading up to development I reviewed designs and offered technical insight on some of the more complex pages, and then led development alongside their in-house Webflow developer to refactor and build over 50 pages in only 3 weeks — using my beloved Mast framework.
CMS and component architecture
With the wrapbook.com site being anything but small, it was critical that we refined the way the CMS was structured, as well as take a more component driven approach to the entire design system in order to build a consistent and solid brand-driven site. I led the re-architecture of the CMS, as well as built several custom javascript based components to align with their unique use cases.
Production incentive center
Following the launch of the refreshed brand and site, I partnered with another team at Wrapbook to build an entirely new section of the site centered on helping potential customers quickly discover where to get the best production incentives across the US. I designed and developed a custom CMS based, interactive state map with real-time search functionality, a state comparison tool, and a multi-step incentive finder. All underlying production incentive data was setup to live sync from their database in Notion to the Webflow CMS for easy management and scalability.
